This Privacy Policy explains how OUTBID collects, uses, shares, stores, displays, archives, and protects information when you use our website, apps, accounts, profiles, public message placements, crown history, Hall of Crowns, notifications, and related services.
OUTBID is operated by Always Second Technologies Inc. (“OUTBID,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact: privacy@outbid.me
Address: [Company Address]
By using OUTBID, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
OUTBID is a public, competitive message-placement service. When you post, purchase, or submit a message, parts of your activity are designed to be public.
Your public message, @username, profile information, crown history, placement history, dethroned-message history, and related public activity may be displayed publicly and archived permanently — including in the Hall of Crowns. Dethroned messages may be kept forever.
Deleting your account, changing your profile, or asking us to delete private account data does not necessarily remove messages, crown history, or other public archive records from OUTBID’s permanent public archive.
Do not submit messages, usernames, profile details, photos, links, or other information that you do not want to become public and potentially permanent.
The following may be public on OUTBID:
1. your public message;
2. your @username, display name, avatar, profile photo, bio, website, location, and other profile fields you provide;
3. public links you submit;
4. current crown status;
5. crown history;
6. dethroned-message history;
7. placement timing;
8. public ranking or placement information;
9. public transaction-related display info, such as that a placement occurred or that one message outbid another;
10. public comments, reactions, or interactions if offered;
11. archived versions of public messages and public profile associations.
Some public information may remain visible even after you are outbid, dethroned, suspended, removed, or deleted.
The following is not intended to be publicly displayed:
1. your email address;
2. your date of birth;
3. authentication identifiers;
4. payment details;
5. internal fraud, moderation, and security signals;
6. private support communications;
7. private notification preferences;
8. internal account logs;
9. IP address, device data, and cookie identifiers, except where incorporated into aggregated, de-identified, security, or legal records.
We use your date of birth to help verify age eligibility (whether you are old enough to use OUTBID and to make purchases). We do not intentionally display your email, date of birth, full payment card number, or private support messages publicly.
A. Account Information: email address; login method; Google OAuth account info if you sign in with Google; Supabase authentication identifiers; account creation date; account status; password-related authentication data if applicable; date of birth for age verification; notification preferences.
B. Profile Information: @username; display name; bio; location; website; profile photo or avatar; social links; other profile fields. Profile information may be public.
C. Public Message and Crown Information: submitted messages; links in messages; placement timing; dethroning and outbid events; crown history; Hall of Crowns records; moderation status; public display status; related metadata. This may be public and permanently archived.
D. Payment Information (via Stripe or another provider): payment status; purchase amount; currency; transaction ID; receipt info; billing name; billing email; limited payment method details such as card brand and last four; chargeback/refund/dispute info. We do not intend to store full card numbers on our servers.
E. Usage and Analytics: pages viewed; buttons clicked; placement flows; outbid events; notification interactions; session activity; referring pages; approximate location from IP; feature usage; performance data; error logs; analytics events.
F. Device, IP, and Log Information: IP address; browser type; device type; OS; language; time zone; pages visited; timestamps; session identifiers; security logs; crash logs; cookie identifiers.
G. Cookies and Similar Technologies: used for authentication, keeping you signed in, security, fraud prevention, preferences, analytics, performance, and anonymous/pseudonymous identity recognition. OUTBID may use an anonymous identity cookie to recognize a browser/device before or after login. You can control cookies in your browser; some features may not work if disabled.
H. Communications: if you contact us — your name; email; message contents; attachments; support history; moderation appeals; complaint records; legal or takedown notices.
I. Notifications: information needed to provide in-app inbox messages, unread badges, “you were outbid” notices, dethroning alerts, purchase confirmations, service messages, and optional email notifications.
To: provide and maintain OUTBID; create and manage accounts; authenticate users; process signups/logins; verify age eligibility; enable public message placement; display public messages, profiles, crown status and history; operate the Hall of Crowns and archive features; process payments; send receipts; notify you when outbid or dethroned; provide in-app and email notifications; moderate content; detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, impersonation, scams, malicious links, and prohibited content; enforce our Terms; respond to support; respond to legal, copyright, trademark, safety, or law-enforcement requests; analyze and improve OUTBID; debug and improve performance; secure our systems; comply with legal obligations; and protect the rights, safety, and property of OUTBID, our users, and the public.
Where required by law, we rely on one or more of:
1. Contract: to provide OUTBID and process purchases;
2. Consent: where we ask for it, such as optional marketing or certain cookies;
3. Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, improve, moderate, and prevent abuse;
4. Legal obligations: to comply with laws, tax, accounting, payment, consumer protection, safety, and legal process;
5. Public interest or safety: where necessary to prevent harm, fraud, threats, or abuse.
A. Public Users and Visitors: public information may be visible to anyone, including users, visitors, search engines, social platforms, archival tools, and other third parties (public messages, @usernames, profile info, crown/placement history, Hall of Crowns records).
B. Service Providers and Sub-Processors: Supabase (database, auth, storage, backend); Google (OAuth login if chosen); Stripe (payments); [Email Provider]; [Hosting Provider]; analytics, monitoring, anti-abuse, security, and support providers; other vendors that help operate OUTBID.
C. Payment Processing: shared with Stripe and related financial providers to process payments, prevent fraud, manage disputes, issue receipts, and comply with payment laws.
D. Legal, Safety, and Compliance: disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with law; respond to subpoenas/court orders/government requests; enforce our Terms; investigate fraud/abuse/impersonation/spam/threats/prohibited content; protect rights, property, or safety; investigate security incidents; respond to copyright/trademark/DMCA complaints; prevent harm.
E. Business Transfers: in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or asset sale, information may be transferred — including the permanent public archive and Hall of Crowns data.
F. Aggregated or De-Identified Information: we may share information that does not reasonably identify you.
We may retain permanently: public messages; dethroned messages; Hall of Crowns records; crown history; public placement history; the @username associated with public placement history; public profile snapshots needed for archive integrity; moderation records for public content; and records needed to prevent fraud, abuse, impersonation, disputes, or legal claims.
The Hall of Crowns may keep dethroned messages forever.
Other information is kept as long as necessary to provide OUTBID, maintain accounts, process payments, provide support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain security. If you delete your account, we may delete or de-identify certain private account information, but public archive records may remain.
You may request deletion by contacting privacy@outbid.me or using any deletion tool we provide. Deletion may remove or de-identify certain private account data, such as login access and non-public profile controls. However:
1. public messages may remain archived;
2. crown history may remain archived;
3. dethroned messages may remain in the Hall of Crowns;
4. public records may remain associated with your @username;
5. transaction, fraud, security, tax, accounting, moderation, and legal records may be retained;
6. copies may remain in backups for a limited period;
7. information already indexed, copied, screenshotted, archived, or shared by others may remain outside our control.
Deleting your account does not guarantee removal of public or permanent archive content.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to: access information we hold; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of certain information; restrict processing; object to certain processing; request a copy of your information; request portability; opt out of certain sharing, sale, targeted advertising, or profiling where applicable; withdraw consent; appeal a privacy-rights decision; and not be discriminated against for exercising rights.
To make a request, contact privacy@outbid.me. We may need to verify your identity. Your rights may be limited by law, safety, fraud prevention, legal obligations, free-expression considerations, public archive integrity, dispute records, payment records, tax records, security records, and the permanent archive features described here.
For California residents where applicable, we may collect: identifiers (email, username, IP, device IDs, account IDs); customer records (billing details, support records); commercial information (purchases, payment status, receipts, chargebacks); internet/network activity (usage logs, analytics, cookies, device data); geolocation (approximate, from IP or profile); user-generated content (public messages, profile info); and inferences (fraud/security/abuse-risk signals).
We use these for the purposes described in this Policy and may disclose them to service providers, payment processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, security providers, legal recipients, and the public where information is public by design.
OUTBID does not intend to sell your personal information for money. If we engage in activity considered a “sale” or “sharing” under California law, we will provide required notices and opt-out mechanisms. California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, opt out, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against, subject to legal exceptions.
OUTBID is not intended for children under 13. You must be at least 13 to use OUTBID, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to make purchases. We may collect date of birth or similar age-verification information to enforce these requirements.
If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in violation of applicable law, we will take steps to delete or disable it, subject to legal, safety, fraud-prevention, and archive-integrity requirements. Parents or guardians may contact privacy@outbid.me.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no internet service, database, payment system, hosting provider, or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for the security of your account, login methods, devices, and email. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information, we will investigate and take steps we believe are appropriate. Where required by law, we will notify affected users, regulators, or other parties.
OUTBID and our service providers may process, store, and transfer information in countries other than where you live, which may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use legal mechanisms designed to support international data transfers.
We may send: account emails; login/verification emails; payment receipts; security alerts; service notices; moderation notices; legal notices; outbid/dethroning notifications; and optional product or marketing emails if enabled.
You may unsubscribe from optional marketing or notification emails. You may still receive transactional, security, legal, or service-related messages.
OUTBID may contain links to third-party websites, profiles, apps, or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, security, content, or policies. Review third-party privacy policies before providing information to them.
Because OUTBID includes public content, your messages, username, profile, crown history, and Hall of Crowns records may be indexed, copied, screenshotted, embedded, scraped, cached, quoted, or archived by others. We do not control third-party copies. Removing or changing content on OUTBID may not remove copies elsewhere.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by posting the updated policy, changing the “Last Updated” date, sending an email, or providing another notice. Your continued use after the updated policy becomes effective means you accept it.
